Kim Duell strapped into his first race car in 1977 — and never really climbed out. Nearly fifty years later, the #14 is one of the most recognized cars in the Pro Stock division at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, where Kim stands among the winningest drivers in the division's history at the Great Race Place.
The trophies tell part of the story: feature wins by the dozen, NYSSCA honors, and a Lifetime Achievement Award recognizing a career few can match. But the better story is in the shop — the late nights, the family, and the crew that kept a race team running across six different decades.
Today the legacy runs two-wide. Scott Duell carries the family name in the #14X, racing side-by-side with his father in the same division, at the same track, in front of the same fans. Not many families ever get to do that. Fewer still do it this well, for this long.
